My experience with P90X: It's no surprise that it's the best selling sports and fitness product on Amazon for two years running. It's amazingly fun and unbelievably challenging!
Here's why I did it...
I was over at my friend's house -- he coaches for the University of Denver and he was doing the P90X plyometrics workout in his living room. It was absolutely blasting him to the core...

My Motivation:
It was the winter of 2010 and I was feeling weak
and lethargic. This is a horrible feeling when you've
always been a lifetime athlete. I felt pathetic and
my regular workout wasn't getting it done (see first photo).
My Results:
First let me say that before I started, I thought I could
do three pull ups...turned out I couldn't do any. I was disgusted.
By the end of the program, I could knock out 20 wide grip pull ups
in one set.
After one month of doing the workout, I lost 15 pounds and I didn't even know I had 15 pounds to lose!
After two months, I started wondering how well I would do on a skateboard or on the ski slopes this year. My footwork was 1000% better than two months ago. After three months, I started thinking that maybe I should do my first ever triathlon. I wasn't an Adonis or anything, but needless to say for a mid 30 year old I'm feeling pretty good. This program changed my life and put me in touch with my physical body awareness like football, basketball, and track never did for me. This program is serious -- I love it! I honestly can't say enough about it because it just flat out works and you'll know it too after your first week of workouts...
Plus, the results are from me not following the nutrition guide at all -- just doing the workouts. I probably would have a six pack for the first time if I would have followed the eating guide instead of sticking with burgers, pizza, and beer...so I'm about to start my second round of it and shoot for those washboard abs that genetics have fought against for so long.
After seeing my results, my brother in law brushed the program off saying, "these are the kind of workouts we used to do all the time". After one week, he called me and said "this is the hardest thing I've ever done and I love it!". Now some of his youth football team (including his son) do the program with him. Longtime members here know I wouldn't push this unless I thought it was 100% effective for strength and conditioning in football. It works and it's totally inspiring. The lead fitness guru, Tony Horton, is unbelievable. He has the sixth sense because ever time I was cheating, he'd say something in the video...he just knows us too well! Just ask my best friends who started P90X after seeing my results. They keep calling me and saying "this is amazing, thanks".
